At the 15th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani World Expo 2022, African Sun Limited was the biggest winner.
The group won Best Hotel Stand, Best Zimbabwe Stand and Best Overall Stand at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.
Mr. Maxwell Moyo, the African Sun Limited Group Sales Manager, was pleased about the awards and promised to continue offering best products in the tourism and hospitality industry.
“The awards won by the African Sun today are testimony that we are a leader and giant in the tourism and hospitality industry.
“This gives us the ammunition to continue giving our customers the best products and services,” Mr. Moyo said.
The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo was officially opened by First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa following the return to normalcy after the global Covid-19 pandemic.
Ms. Winnie Muchanyuka, Chief Executive of Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, said quality of exhibition of products and services had improved.
“Since we are coming out of COVID-19-induced lockdowns that had negatively impacted the tourism sector, we had set a target of 250 exhibitors.
“We are happy to announce that we surpassed this target because 270 exhibitors including 30 foreign firms are participating in this year’s Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, which is more than we initially anticipated”.
