Emirates and Zimbabwe Join Forces to Promote the Country as a Top Destination in 2023

Dubai, UAE: Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) has entered into a partnership with Emirates, one of the world’s leading airlines, to increase inbound tourism and develop traffic into Zimbabwe. The agreement will leverage the airline’s global network and reach to showcase the country’s diverse and rich attractions.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Badr Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for Africa, and Ms. Winnie Muchanyuka, Chief Executive of ZTA. The signing ceremony was also attended by H.E. Lovemore Mazemo, Ambassador of Zimbabwe to the UAE, Mr Farai Chimba, President of the Hotel Association of Zimbabwe and General Manager of Victoria Falls Hotel.

The MoU outlines a range of joint marketing activities that include tourism promotions, familiarization trips for trade and media, and other initiatives. Both parties will also explore opportunities for joint advertising campaigns in key markets.

Through our extensive global network, we aim to raise the profile of Zimbabwe and contribute to its tourism growth.”

Ms. Winnie Muchanyuka, Chief Executive of ZTA, said: “Collaboration is the key to success in tourism, and we are confident that this partnership with Emirates will create a platform for a significant increase of arrivals into the country. ZTA and Emirates will work together to enhance awareness and engagement among potential visitors and showcase the beauty and diversity of Zimbabwe.”
